Jeanne da Silva Machado

Attorney, head of the office, Jeanne is graduated in Law and Master in Business Law from Universidade Candido Mendes. In her nearly 33 years of professional experience, she held positions of leadership, of which the last 12 years as General Counsel and Compliance Officer of Sanofi-Aventis Group in Brazil. During her tenure at that company, Jeanne was nominated by the Who is Who, as a legal executive in 2008, as well as by the yearbook of Legal and Financial Officers in the years 2009 and 2010.

Expert in Business Law, she developed her career as an in-house lawyer and manager of the legal department for Caemi Group companies, including their mining holding, Caemi International, Jari Celulose and Caulin da Amazonia, where she was responsible for managing the corporate acts of circa 60 companies of the Group, including IPO operations, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions; conducted also long term agreements negotiations with international banks, including the securitization of receivables, commercial contracts in general, and maritime freight, contracts with the public administration and also settlements with international clients in commercial transactions or demands. In the fiscal area, outlined strategies in processes of great value.

In the course of her actions as General Counsel, she established pro-business guidelines with an emphasis on business results of the companies, providing direct support in the negotiations for the acquisition of products and companies, especially on the regulatory, industrial, industrial property, environmental, contractual, antitrust, civil liability and consumer protection.

Participated in the group of lawyers from Rio de Janeiro industries, which had a role in the framing of the 1988 Constitution, as well as the group study of the Ports Law in 1996 and in the creation of the Brazilian Private Terminals Association.

Author of “The Solidarity in Environmental Liability”, published in 2004, and the article "The Adjustment of Conduct in Environmental Damage," published in the UERJ Biannual Journal of Business Law in 2008.

Carolina da Silva Ferreira

Lawyer, graduated from the University Estacio de Sa - Menezes Cortes, with specialization in contract law from Fundação Getulio Vargas / RJ in 2011, focused her career on Business Law and Intellectual Property.

She began her professional experience as an intern in the law firm Dannemann Siemsen Advogados, having worked in the areas of civil litigation and advisory of trademarks until 2011, when she joined Machado e Silva Advogados as a partner.

Sabrina Agueda Tavares Montenegro

Lawyer, graduated from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, with specialization in Environmental Management from COPPE/RJ in 2011, focused her career on Business Law, Environmental Law and Civil Liability.

She began her professional experience as an intern in the CAEMI group and in LIGHT, during the years of 1998 and 1999, having afterwards worked in Proambiental Gestão e Consultoria Ltda. and in the Law firm Luiz Antonio Tavares e Advogados Associados as a partner.

Fernando Baptista

Lawyer, graduated in Law and Economics, Post graduated in Business Law from Universidade Candido Mendes, with specialization in Antitrust from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV, focused his career on the regulatory area.

Over the last 12 years, Fernando worked as Manager of Economic Regulation of ANVISA / MS; served as coordinator of the team responsible for price control , quantities sold and sales of the national pharmaceutical market; was also the coordinator and supervisor of the stock price of drugs ANVISA - SAMMED, and technical and operational support to the Executive Secretariat of the CMED - Regulation Board of Medicine Market.

It is noteworthy that Fernando served as Representative Head Counselor of the Ministry of Health in the Federal Council of Diffuse Rights (of the Ministry of Justice) and as Chief of the Technical Mission representing the ANVISA in the countries of: Australia, Cuba, Green Cape. He has also participated in technical interchange with members of the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products - INFARMED.

In 2010, was a keynote of the Inter-American Development Bank - IDB, on the Economic Regulation of Medicines of Brazil in El Salvador, to members of the legislature of that country; also lectured in 2009 on Drugs Stock Price, at the Pan American Health Organization- PAHO, in Washington.

He is dedicated also to academic activity as Professor of Economic Law, Competition Law and Health Law taught in several MBA’s from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro, across Brazil and as Professor of Economic Regulation in the Pharmaceutical Market in Postgraduate courses IPOG, IFAR and IDEAL pharmaceutical solution.
